About the Area

It wasn't so long ago that we would get calls asking where we were located on the eastern shore. But over the last five years or so, things have slowly changed and we have been "discovered". Now, we receive calls from folks who have heard and read about the Northern Neck of Virginia; the praise for it's small town virtues, the civic mindedness of its citizens, and the ease of living rurally within easy reach of major metropolitan amenities. It's all true and much, much more. It's like a step back in time, an experience in peace and tranquility, and no matter where you are, having the water close by.

It's easy to love, this peninsula of land bordered by the Rappahannock and Potomac rivers and flowing out to the Chesapeake Bay. There are hundreds of miles of shoreline and an infinite number of indescribably beautiful views - whether it's the wide views across the Rappahannock or the intimate views of creeks, wetlands or wildlife. Some magical moments arrive on the heels of the morning sun, and others with the glow of sunset, blazing reds and yellows across the sky and reflecting upon the water. Once you visit and fall under the spell of this beautiful land, you will want to find your view and dream setting, and we would be glad to help.
